The Pittsburgh-West Virginia Annual Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Church held a Unity Prayer Service at the Bethel AME Church in the Hill District on November 1, 2018 to honor the victims and survivors of the attack at the Tree of Life Synagogue on October 27, 2018. The service consisted of words of comfort, hope, and healing by representatives of local organizations and religious communities including Rev. Liddy Barlow of Christian Associates of Western Pennsylvania, Imam Hamza Perez of the Islamic Community, Senior Bishop McKinley Young of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Pittsburgh City Councilman Robert LaVelle Jr., and Richard A. Stewart of Pittsburgh's N.A.A.C.P Unit #2285, among others. Presiding Elder Eric Brown led a moment of silence for the victims of the attack.

The October 27 Archive collects responses to an antisemitic attack in Pittsburgh, Pa. on October 27, 2018. These responses take many forms but share a motivating impulse. Each began in the mind and heart of someone who was moved by the events of that day and was compelled to create something meaningful from that feeling. By sharing these responses, those people chose to be vulnerable for the sake of a greater good. The October 27 Archive website was launched with the belief that sharing these responses with the world can provide an avenue for people all over the world to reflect, learn, and heal.
