Pittsburgh Bureau of Police/Stronger Than Hate decal

Decal sticker featuring "Stronger Than Hate" symbol with yellow border and the words Pittsburgh Police beneath the City of Pittsburgh crest.

Historical Notes

Following the October 27 attack, the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police in conjunction with the Pittsburgh Steelers commissioned special decals for patrol cards in Zone 4, which covers the neighborhoods of Squirrel Hill, Shadyside, and Greenfield. The design of the decal combines the imagery of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police badge with the Stronger Than Hate symbol. Zone 4 was the first law enforcement agency to arrive at the Tree of Life synagogue building on October 27, 2018, and four of its officers were injured in the attack. The decal is believed to be the first time a Star of David has appeared on a police vehicle outside the State of Israel.
