Love They Neighbor sign

Rectangular cardboard sign. Front reads, "LOVE They Neighbor" with a heart in purple, green, blue, and read marker. Back includes signatures from the Wolfson children.

Historical Notes

The Wolfson family made this sign in response to the October 27 attack and displayed it during the first public vigil, held that evening. Arianna and Aidan Wolfson, then five and three years old respectively, designed the sign and decorated the back. Their mother Amira Wolfson attended the candlelight Havdalah vigil that evening at Murray and Forbes avenues with her friends and neighbors Alison and Matt Culyba. Amira Wolfson brought the sign and a white candle. Several news outlets documented the sign and the candle as part of their coverage of the vigil. In these images, Amira Wolfson can be seen in a light-colored raincoat and a striped ball cap. Matt Culyba can be seen beside her in an orange raincoat.
