Card from the Friendship Circle of Illinois. The front cover reads: "To the Jewish community of Pittsburgh sheyichyu (may they live)." The inside reads: "I heard what happened and give my fullest sympathy. I am heartbroken by what happened, and really hope moshiach (the Messiah) will come and you'll be united with your dear ones." Spelling errors corrected for clarity.

Note from a member of The Church at Severn Run in Severn, Maryland. The note reads: "I just want to send God's loving grace to you and your family to help you heal from the terrible act from a lost soul. We pray for you and everyone touched by this action. God Bless."

Handmade card illustrated with multi-colored crayons on light purple paper. The front features a child's illustration of an animal, perhaps a horse, with its mouth open wide in the shape of the letter C. The back features a blob outlined in brown crayon and other undecipherable imagery.

The front cover says: "LOVE." The card inside is dated November 1, 2018 and reads: "Dear Congregation- My heart is filled with pain for you. We send you our love, and our hope for healing. Laminated prayer card with text of the "Prayer to Our Mother of Perpetual Help" on the reverse. The front side features a reproduction of a medieval-style icon of the Virgin and child against a gold backdrop. This prayer card has the imprimatur of the former archbishop of Boston, William Cardinal O'Connell (1859-1944).
