Card from a student at West Allegheny Middle School in Imperial, Pa. The front features a hand-colored illustration of a leaf with geometric motifs. The back contains a handwritten note, as well as the stock signature: "From your friends at West Allegheny Middle School."
Post-it note with handwritten message and illustrations in green, blue, red, and black marker. The message reads: "He watching over Israel slumbers not nor sleeps." An illustration of houses on a hilltop with a river, trees, heart, and a moon and stars above, appears around the text.
Issue of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette with a card made from blue construction paper with an inscription in black marker taped to the front; newspaper is yellowed and creased at corners. Back page includes weather forecast and advertisements.
Handmade card in colored marker on paper. The front of the card features the word: "LOVE" in bubble letters; the letter "o" has been replaced with a large Star of David. Several smaller hearts and a multi-colored asterisk appear throughout. Signed, upper left: "Rylee Love." The back is signed, twice: "Love Rylee" in orange and purple marker, respectively. The card has been laminated.

Letter from a member of the Point Loma Community Presbyterian Church in San Diego, California. The letter is dated 11/4/2018 and reads: "Dear Fellow Journeyers in Faith- May you experience others holding you in their caring arms during this time of loss and grief. Know you are not forgot. Know God can redeem this tragedy to bring about justice. -A friend in San Diego- Claudia."

The October 27 Archive collects responses to an antisemitic attack in Pittsburgh, Pa. on October 27, 2018. These responses take many forms but share a motivating impulse. Each began in the mind and heart of someone who was moved by the events of that day and was compelled to create something meaningful from that feeling. By sharing these responses, those people chose to be vulnerable for the sake of a greater good. The October 27 Archive website was launched with the belief that sharing these responses with the world can provide an avenue for people all over the world to reflect, learn, and heal.
