The Collection

The October 27 Archive currently contains 1333 objects and is regularly being expanded with more material. The archive includes flyers and programs from community gatherings held since the October 27 attack, a comprehensive collection of news coverage about the day of the event, oral history recordings reflecting a diverse array of experiences, and historical documentation about the Jewish experience in Western Pennsylvania.

Letter from a member of the Point Loma Community Presbyterian Church in San Diego, California. The letter is dated Nov. 4, 2018 and reads: "Dear Friends, I'm at a loss for words to think about the horror you've experienced and the hate that has been directed towards you. Our hearts break with you and I am so sorry this has happened to you. We are with you and are and continue to be praying for you. We are praying for comfort, protection and healing. We love you! San Dieguito United Methodist Church card

Card from clergy members affiliated with San Dieguito United Methodist Church in Encinitas, California. The front of the card features a multi-colored pattern of tiles with the message: "We Care About You-: We're thinking of you because we so much- and we to show you somehow..." in the upper center. The inside features a stock inscription: "So we're hoping you feel all the love that we're sending to help and support you right now!" as well as additional handwritten note from various clergy members.
